Orc Cult Minion is today’s boosted creature, while Ravenous Hunger is today’s boosted boss, drawing hunters toward the hidden cults beneath Edron and the dark halls of the Cults of Tibia.
Whispers Beneath Edron
Something is moving beneath Edron.
Our correspondent stationed near the castle has spent much of the morning watching adventurers disappear into the old underground passages beneath the city. They arrive prepared for a hunt, but few seem interested in the ordinary orcs that inhabit the upper sections.
They are looking for the cult.
And today, the Orc Cult Minion is the creature drawing them deeper.
The Minions are among the armed followers occupying the hidden Orc cult complex. Unlike the more familiar orcs found throughout Tibia, these warriors belong to one of the secret cults investigated during the Cults of Tibia campaign.
The creature itself is a hardened version of the Orc Spearman, combining close combat with thrown spears. Those who have faced the cult below Edron know that numbers can make even familiar enemies considerably less welcoming.
The Best Place to Hunt Orc Cult Minion Today
For adventurers pursuing the Orc Cult Minion Bestiary, the answer is remarkably straightforward: head to the Edron Orc Cave and continue into the cult area.
The Minions inhabit several floors of the underground complex, appearing on the third, fourth and fifth floors alongside other members of the Orc cult.
This makes the location particularly valuable today.
Instead of searching for isolated creatures across Tibia, hunters can remain inside the same underground complex while the cult’s forces continue to gather around them.
But there is a reason our Edron correspondent recommends caution.
The deeper sections are not simply another orc hunting ground. The cult has its own hierarchy, and the adventurer may encounter Orc Cultists, Orc Cult Fanatics, Orc Cult Inquisitors and Orc Cult Priests while working through the area.
The priests are especially important.
Their magic is used to transform adventurers into different kinds of orcs, allowing them to pass barriers deeper inside the cult’s territory. Killing the wrong priest at the wrong moment can therefore turn a straightforward expedition into an unexpectedly complicated one.
Our reporter’s advice from the field?
Know which orc you are hunting before you start killing everything that moves.
A Cult Hidden in Plain Sight
The Orc cult is not an isolated curiosity.
The Cults of Tibia Quest describes secret cults scattered throughout the world, with Gerimor calling adventurers to investigate organizations devoted to strange and dangerous powers. The Orc cult in Edron is one of those groups.
Its members have built their own underground domain, complete with barriers, transformations and increasingly dangerous creatures.
For today’s hunters, that ancient conspiracy has become something much simpler:
A boosted hunting ground.
But beneath that practical objective lies the same mystery that has surrounded the cults since their discovery.
What exactly are these followers preparing for?
Somewhere Else, Hunger Awakens
Our second report comes from a very different corner of the cult’s story.
Far from the Orc tunnels, another group has been dealing with a problem of an entirely different nature.
The Barkless cult has its own terrible secret.
At the end of the confrontation with Leiden, the destruction of the creature does not bring relief. Instead, something far worse is released.
Ravenous Hunger.
The transformation is quite literal in the history of the encounter: Leiden is the first form, and once he is destroyed, Ravenous Hunger emerges from what is left behind.
The name is not particularly subtle.
Neither is the creature.
The Hunger Beneath the Barkless
Ravenous Hunger belongs to the Barkless chapter of the Cults of Tibia Quest, one of the many threats uncovered while investigating the secret organizations spread across the world.
The creature waits beneath Ab’Dendriel’s troll cave, in the territory associated with the Barkless cult.
Those who have witnessed the encounter describe an enemy that is less concerned with conventional combat than with feeding its endless appetite.
Its voice leaves little room for interpretation.
Its message is simple:
It wants to feed.
And today, more adventurers than usual are willing to answer the invitation.
Two Cults, One Dangerous Day
There is an interesting coincidence in today’s hunting map.
In Edron, adventurers are descending beneath the city to confront the warriors of an ancient Orc cult.
Elsewhere, hunters are preparing to face the consequence of another secret cult’s corruption.
The two creatures could hardly look more different.
One carries weapons and follows the orders of its cult.
The other represents something far more difficult to reason with.
Yet both lead back to the same investigation that has occupied adventurers for years: the Cults of Tibia and the strange forces hiding beneath the civilized world.
For our reporters, it has been a busy day underground.
For the hunters, it may be an even busier one.
The Orc Cult Minions are gathering beneath Edron. Ravenous Hunger is waiting below Ab’Dendriel.
And today, both are attracting considerably more attention than usual.
