Today’s server save brings several fixes to Tibia, including changes to the Moonsnow Magnolia boss room, devoted radiant zealots, the Loot Analyser and other minor issues.
TIBIA — Not every danger disappears when the last creature falls.
Adventurers returning from the Moonsnow Magnolia boss room have learned that lesson the hard way. Reports from the area pointed to an unusual problem during the second phase of the encounter: leaving the chamber could trigger an excessive number of monsters, turning an already dangerous retreat into something considerably worse.
The problem has now been dealt with.
A Door Was Not Always the End
The second phase of the Moonsnow Magnolia encounter is supposed to be dangerous enough on its own.
But there is a considerable difference between facing the creatures inside a boss room and discovering that the room has effectively continued its work after you have already left.
That distinction became particularly important for adventurers attempting to escape the chamber. Under certain circumstances, the departure could result in an abnormal surge of monsters and place unnecessary strain on the world itself.
The chamber should now be considerably less interested in pursuing those who have already escaped it.
Even Holy Zeal Has Its Limits
Elsewhere, another peculiar situation has been corrected.
Devoted radiant zealots were proving strangely resistant to a task that should have been familiar to experienced spellcasters: removing magic walls and wild growth.
For adventurers relying on the battlefield to be shaped and reshaped during combat, such obstacles are more than decoration. A wall in the wrong place can separate a team, close an escape route or change the course of a fight entirely.
The zealots can now once again deal with those magical barriers as intended.
The Small Things Adventurers Notice
Not every problem announced today involved monsters.
The Loot Analyser had developed an unfortunate habit of remembering gold for longer than it should, displaying gold looted more than an hour earlier.
Mana drained by Magic Shield was also occasionally appearing in an unusual shade, while the Tibian forums had their own architectural problem: consecutive quotes could cause previous posts to shift vertically across the boards.
None of these issues were likely to send an adventurer running for the nearest temple.
But together, they are the sort of small imperfections that eventually become impossible to ignore.
Maps, NPCs, graphical elements, display problems and typographical errors have also received attention during the latest round of corrections.
A Quieter Day Ahead
There are no great invasions to announce. No new monster has emerged from the wilderness. No city wall has fallen.
Instead, today’s work concerns the things that should have happened differently but didn’t.
A boss room behaving itself.
A zealot clearing the path.
A loot record knowing when to forget.
A shield displaying its mana drain correctly.
Perhaps that is the best kind of news for an adventurer.
Nothing dramatic happened.
And, after today’s server save, that is precisely the point.
