Strange Activity Draws Hunters to Yalahar and Venore

Braindeath is today’s boosted creature, while Blight Mariner is today’s boosted boss.

YALAHAR — Something has changed beneath the streets.

The familiar silence of the old quarters has been interrupted by the sound of adventurers moving through places that many would rather leave alone. Deep below Yalahar, the Braindeaths have once again become a particularly tempting target for those willing to descend into the city’s darker corners.

The reason is simple enough.

Their numbers have attracted attention.

Beneath the City of the Dead

There are several places where experienced hunters know to look for Braindeaths, but few names are associated with them as strongly as Yalahar.

The city’s Cemetery Quarter has long been one of the places where these creatures can be found, while other hunting grounds exist elsewhere, including the Bonelord caves around Liberty Bay.

For the residents above, none of this is particularly reassuring.

The creatures lurking below Yalahar have never been known for improving the local atmosphere. Today, however, their presence is drawing hunters rather than sending them away.

Some come for their bestiary.

Others are looking for what the creatures leave behind.

Either way, the streets above may be quieter than the tunnels beneath them.

Something Stirs in Venore

Far from Yalahar, another group of adventurers has a very different destination.

The waters around Venore conceal the lair of the Blight Mariner, an Archfoe whose appearance has never been particularly welcomed by sailors or anyone else unfortunate enough to cross its path.

The creature is tied to the Between the Lines quest and waits in a boss room in Venore.

Those entering the chamber may discover that the battle is not quite as straightforward as it first appears.

Three Drowned Deck Hands await the intruders.

And they are not merely there to make the room look occupied.

The Crew That Refuses to Stay Down

The Blight Mariner has an unusual relationship with its crew.

While the Drowned Deck Hands remain in the room, attacks against their captain can actually restore his health. The sensible order of business, therefore, is not necessarily to strike the largest creature first.

There are times in Tibia when the smallest threat in the room is the one that needs to disappear first.

And there are few things more frustrating than watching a hard-earned victory slip away because someone decided to ignore the crew.

The battle becomes even less comfortable when Blight Spitters begin appearing around the chamber.

The Mariner, meanwhile, appears to have little interest in negotiating.

Two Hunts, Two Very Different Roads

In Yalahar, hunters descend beneath the city in search of creatures whose very appearance seems to belong in the forgotten corners of the world.

In Venore, others prepare to face a captain who has apparently brought his entire crew along for one last voyage.

One hunt leads underground.

The other leads into a room from which there may be only one sensible way out.

For today’s hunters, Tibia has prepared two very different destinations.

Those heading toward Yalahar should watch the shadows below the city. Those sailing toward Venore should keep an eye on the crew.

The day belongs to the Braindeaths and the Blight Mariner.

Whether it belongs to the hunters is another question.
