YALAHAR — Something is drawing attention back to the old cultist strongholds.
Our correspondents have noticed an unusual movement around the Magician Quarter, where members of the mysterious Voodoo Cult have long kept their secrets. Among them, the Adepts are receiving considerably more attention from adventurers today.
The reason is no longer a secret.
The Cult’s Adepts Under Watch
The Adept of the Cult is today’s boosted creature, and hunters looking to complete their bestiary have several places to investigate.
The cult’s hideouts can be found in several dangerous corners of Tibia, but the Magician Quarter in Yalahar is considered one of the better locations for encountering Adepts. The creature also appears in places such as Goroma, Formorgar Mines and the Forbidden Temple.
Our Yalahar correspondent reports that the cultists are showing little interest in welcoming today’s visitors. Adepts are known to fight from a distance, disappear from sight and call upon Ghouls when threatened.
The cult, naturally, denies everything.
A More Dangerous Name Returns
While hunters investigate the cultists, another group is preparing for an altogether more serious encounter.
Reports from Edron indicate increased activity around the Grounds of Despair, where Tarbaz awaits those brave — or perhaps reckless — enough to challenge him.
Tarbaz is associated with the Ferumbras’ Ascendant quest and can be found in the Grounds of Despair. The encounter is considered a serious challenge, requiring experienced adventurers and proper preparation.
Our correspondent attempted to discover whether Tarbaz was aware of today’s unusual attention.
No answer was received.
The correspondent decided that asking twice would be unwise.
Two Cultists. Two Very Different Problems.
From the shadowed halls of Yalahar to the dangerous grounds of Edron, today’s hunters have been given two reasons to leave the safety of the cities.
The Adept of the Cult offers bestiary hunters an opportunity to fill an important entry, while Tarbaz waits for those looking for a considerably more dangerous confrontation.
Whether the cultists are planning something, or whether today’s unusual activity is merely a coincidence, remains unknown.
For now, one thing is certain:
The cult is having a very busy day.
