The Warriors Who Refuse to Fade

The roads leading into Zao may have seen many armies come and go, but some warriors still carry the weight of an older age.

Among them are the Lizard Zaoguns.

Once regarded as the elite of the lizard armies, these warriors were selected from among the strongest and trained in secret combat techniques to serve as officers and generals. The arrival of the dragons — and later the Drakens — changed their place in lizard society, leaving the former elite with little more than their pride and a determination to prove that they have not been forgotten.

Today, their ranks have drawn the attention of hunters across Tibia.

Zaogun forces can be encountered in several places across Zao, including the Muggy Plains, Razachai, the Zao Palace and Zzaion. The Zao Palace itself remains one of the great strongholds of the lizard and Draken forces, with its deeper halls leading to increasingly dangerous inhabitants.

For those entering their territory today, the Zaoguns may have something to prove.

And they are unlikely to care whether their challengers agree.

An Earl Waits in the Shadows

Far from the battlefields of Zao, another name has been attracting attention.

Earl Osam waits in Cormaya, where the story surrounding him is considerably less concerned with military pride and considerably more concerned with survival.

The powerful creature is part of the Grave Danger Quest, and his encounter is tied to a strange collection of dangers hidden beneath the surface of what might otherwise seem like a peaceful island.

With 300,000 hit points and a place among the Archfoes, Earl Osam is not the sort of opponent one simply stumbles into and expects to walk away from without preparation.

Today, however, the encounter carries an additional reason for adventurers to seek him out.

Two Ancient Stories, One Busy Day

In Zao, an old warrior caste waits for challengers.

In Cormaya, an even older danger waits beneath the surface.

The paths are different, the enemies are different, and the reasons for facing them may be different.

But today, both have one thing in common:

the hunters are coming.
